Cortland, NE High School Class of 1896
The commencement exercises of the Cortland High school took place Friday evening and were a decided success in every particular. The opera house was crowded to its utmost capacity. The principal address was delivered by the Rev. Faragus G. McHenry of this city. The music for the occasion was furnished by the Northern Gage county band. The graduates were:
the Misses Ellen Aukes, Ida Grotjan, Edna Deming, Mamie Coggins, Izora Reyer, Clara Lucke, Rheuma Robinson, Katie Stratter and Idelia Roosa and Freddie Kurtz, John Bunte, Fred Potast and Harry McCormick.
All acquitted themselves in a highly satisfactory manner.
