Johnstown, PA Greater Johnstown High School Alumni Notes 1888-1919

Alumni Notes from the December 1918 Spectator Magazine of Greater Johnstown High School.

It is with a feeling of sorrow that we include in our Alumni news for this month the record of many casualties. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the friends of those whose deaths and injuries we have chronicled here. At the same time we have, mingled with out feelings of sadness and sympathy, a feeling of lofty respect and admiration for those of our Alumni who have acquitted themselves so nobly in the time of their nation's need. We wish to honor at this time, not only those of our boys who have given their lives for their country, but also several of our former girls who have "laid down their lives that others may live" during the recent epidemic.
